The outdoors is important to us here at The Onion Project and we are fully aware of the benefits that it can have on an individuals mental health and wellbeing.
It is therefore important for us to try and include nature in all its glory, in our work with young people. This may just be a walk on the hills, foraging for edible plants or a trip around the local wetlands to view migrating birds.
We also want to promote sustainabilty and a reduction in our carbon footprints. To assist with this The Onion Project will plant a tree for every child or young person that we work alongside and we will endeavour to encourage them to play an active part in the planting process.
